Napa Superior Court upholds County of Napa and Property Owners on Lot Line Adjustments.

       Judge Cisca Tischer of the Napa Superior Court recently overruled challenges to lot line adjustments that were approved for a landowner in Yountville, as well as a recent revision of the lot line adjustment ordinance adopted by the County Board of Supervisors.  

These decisions confirm that landowners who own two or more adjacent parcels will be able to reconfigure the shape and size of the parcels to maximize their value.  The Meibeyer Law Group has handled numerous lot line adjustments and certificate of compliance applications (which allow property owners to obtain official recognition of additional  legal parcels that were created legally in the past) and was invited by the Napa County Planning Department to participate in the stakeholder meetings that crafted the new ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors.  If you have questions about the number of legal parcels you might own, or might  want to adjust the shape of your existing parcels we’ll be glad to help you through the process.
